Attic Foil

Radiant Barrier Reviews

Website was very easy to deal with, order was placed, shipping occurred when indicated, arrival was on time. Installation was as easy as implied and the quality of the radiant barrier foil was as good as indicated. have not performed a savings/cost analysis at this time, but know that there has been a positive change.

Installation was straight forward and relatively easy. Temp on unprotected areas 20 - 30 degrees warmer. Day temp was upper 90's when installed. Plywood temp was 110 with protected area 85 - 90 degrees. Roof is trussed design with bird's nest venting to ridge vents. You can feel the breeze as the heat is vented upwards. Can't wait to see how AZ summer heat performs. Last year recorded 165 - 175 degrees on underside surface. Roof is Asphalt shingles. Excellent value!

Great product, and even better support! I got my two rolls for my attic, and installation is as simple as the videos on the Attic Foil website. I poked around for months on the different websites, and got several quotes from different installers, but I saved about $750 on the radiant barrier by doing it myself, and saved another $400 on doing blown in insulation myself. You can do it! The temperature differential in my attic is very noticeable, and I expect lower electric bills to follow.

I had done a lot of research on this product and after visiting attic foils web site I was sold on the foil. Attic foil showed me how to install the product and having to do so by myself, I would say that if I could install this anyone could and reap the benefits of it. The shipping was fast and the foil itself is amazing. I am very satisfied with attic foil, would recomend it to anyone.

The stuff is tough I'm using it to protect myself from the fiberglass. It can't be torn. Logically it should work, I can't be sure because I've insulated, and added vents over a 2 year period. I've laid fiberglass over the ductwork (already had a vapor barrier) and then held the fiberglass in place with the attic foil. I do believe in it, I may have some actual feed back on effectiveness when I move to the garage attic where I have vents in the roof and can direct the heat toward them with the foil. I have side attics and use it like a screen door, when the wood door is removed the heat still seems to stay in the attic, on the west side that can be 140 degrees with soffit and gable vents. It's relatively cheap, easy to install with a construction stapler and is delivered quickly. The roll seems to go on for ever. Just remember it's not a vapor barrier, it’s not supposed to be.
