This summer will be the second summer since I installed AtticFoil and another layer of insulation in our nine year old house. Comparing last year's electric bills to the previous year our bills were half as much. As a result we tend to get to hot while sleeping because our AC system does not run as much. The AtticFoil does a great job of keeping the hot Texas heat out of our house. I would highly recommend this product

Helpful web site, with easy to follow installation instructions. Prior to foil installation, the attic would reach 130 degrees in the summer.A year after installation, the foil keeps my attic the same temperature as outside. So if the outside temp is 90, the attic temp is also 90 degrees. For a 3,000 sq ft home, my kilowatt usage of electrical has decreased by 22%.

I'm from northeast PA and took on the project of incresing the R value in my attict to R39. I researced the benifits of using attic foil. I compared what was on the market both in stores and online and felt that going with attic foil was the best value for the dollar. I was not dissapointed at all this foil is tough and easy to work with. Too soon know actual savings, but know that the temperature in the home is much more comfortable and constant than it was in the past. I would recomend using this product anywhere even if your not from the south.

This is an excellent product. It has significantly cut the run time of my air conditioner by about 4 hours. I have a well insulated home but during the dog days of July/August the AC would come on about midafternoon. Now it doesn't unless I turn it on after dinner or to dehumidify. It also significantly helped decrease the upstairs bedroom temperatures. With a very slight adjustment to the downstairs vents I have only a 1-1.5 degree difference in temps between the two floors. It used to be about 5-7 degrees

Working? Absolutely! I have a 10 to 20 degree F drop in head height/under foil temperature - depending on amount of sun that day. (I did rafters to collar ties to rafters.) I was very impressed as I put it up - by myself - when I realised I was working to stay under the foil as I worked. I had instinctively realised that under the foil was just cooler, even before it was fully installed! And it still is!
